These Terms of Use govern access to and use of the website of the Journal of Engineering Research and Reviews (JERR) and its associated online services. By accessing, browsing, or using the website, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and all applicable laws and regulations.

If you do not agree with these Terms of Use, please do not use the website or its services.

These Terms of Use should be read together with JERR's other applicable policies, including its Privacy Policy, Open Access Policy, Editorial Policies, Peer-Review Policy, Publication Ethics and Publication Malpractice Policy, Conflict of Interest Policy, Plagiarism Policy, Correction and Retraction Policy, Self-Archiving Policy, Digital Archiving and Preservation Policy, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) Policy.

1. Use of the Website

JERR provides its website as a platform for accessing scholarly information, published articles, journal policies, submission information, and related academic services.

Subject to these Terms of Use, users may:

• access and browse the website;

• read and download publicly available content;

• print or store copies of materials for lawful personal, educational, research, or scholarly use; and

• use published articles in accordance with the applicable copyright and licensing terms.

Users must use the website and its content lawfully, responsibly, and in a manner that does not interfere with the operation, security, or integrity of the website.

2. Copyright and Licensing

2.1 Website Content

Unless otherwise stated, website content, including text, website design, graphics, logos, trademarks, and other materials, is protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws and is owned by or licensed to Eldaghayes Publisher or the Journal of Engineering Research and Reviews.

Permission to use website content does not constitute a transfer of ownership or intellectual property rights.

2.2 Published Articles

JERR is a fully open-access journal. Published articles are made available under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), unless a different license is expressly stated for particular material.

Under CC BY 4.0, users may share, copy, redistribute, adapt, remix, transform, and build upon the licensed article, including for commercial purposes, provided that appropriate attribution is given, a link to the license is provided, and any changes are indicated.

The CC BY 4.0 license applies to the article content covered by that license and does not automatically apply to third-party material contained within an article where separate copyright or licensing restrictions apply.

2.3 Attribution

When reusing or redistributing published material, users should provide appropriate bibliographic attribution, including the authors, article title, journal name, publication information, and DOI where applicable.

2.4 Trademarks

The name Journal of Engineering Research and Reviews, its logos, and other associated names or marks may constitute trademarks or protected identifiers. Use of these marks in a manner that suggests endorsement, affiliation, sponsorship, or authorization without permission is prohibited.

3. Acceptable Use

Users must use the website and its services in accordance with applicable laws and these Terms of Use.

Users must not:

4. User and Author-Submitted Content

Users may provide information or materials through the website or associated services, including correspondence, comments, inquiries, or manuscript-related information.

Authors submitting manuscripts remain responsible for ensuring that their submissions:

• are original and accurately represented;

• comply with JERR's submission and publication policies;

• do not infringe the rights of third parties;

• contain appropriate acknowledgments, citations, permissions, and disclosures;

• comply with applicable research ethics requirements; and

• do not contain unlawful, fraudulent, fabricated, or misleading material.

Submission of a manuscript does not guarantee peer review, acceptance, or publication.

The handling and use of personal information associated with submissions are governed by the JERR Privacy Policy.

5. Manuscript Submission and Third-Party Services

JERR uses eJManager as its manuscript submission and editorial management system.

Authors and other users who access or use eJManager are also subject to the terms, privacy provisions, and technical requirements applicable to that third-party service.

5.1 Submission Responsibilities

Authors are responsible for:

• maintaining accurate account and contact information;

• following JERR's submission requirements;

• ensuring that submitted files and metadata are accurate;

• monitoring communications concerning their submissions; and

• responding to editorial or technical requests within the applicable timeframe.

5.2 Editorial and Peer-Review Processes

Manuscripts submitted through eJManager are processed in accordance with JERR's editorial and double-blind peer-review policies.

Use of eJManager does not alter JERR's editorial independence or publication policies.

5.3 Third-Party Services

JERR may use third-party services where reasonably necessary to support manuscript processing, similarity screening, DOI registration, website operation, communication, preservation, or other publishing functions.

Such services may operate under their own terms and privacy policies.

6. Editorial Independence and Scholarly Integrity

JERR maintains editorial independence and makes editorial and publication decisions according to scholarly, ethical, and professional considerations.

Editorial decisions are not based on commercial considerations, advertising, sponsorship, or an author's ability to pay publication charges.

The journal may decline to process, review, publish, or continue processing a manuscript when it does not meet the journal's scope, editorial requirements, ethical standards, or publication criteria.

Concerns relating to plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, duplicate publication, authorship, conflicts of interest, peer-review manipulation, or other forms of publication misconduct will be handled in accordance with JERR's Publication Ethics and Publication Malpractice Policy.

7. Website Availability

JERR aims to maintain reliable and continuous access to its website and online services. However, uninterrupted availability cannot be guaranteed.

The website or particular services may occasionally become unavailable because of:

• scheduled maintenance or upgrades;

• technical failures;

• security incidents;

• hosting or network problems;

• updates to software or infrastructure;

• circumstances beyond the reasonable control of JERR or its publisher; or

• other unforeseen events.

Where reasonably practicable, JERR will seek to restore affected services as soon as possible.

Temporary interruption of website access does not affect the validity of published articles or the journal's publication record.

8. Accuracy of Website Information

JERR seeks to provide accurate and up-to-date information on its website. Nevertheless, information may occasionally contain typographical, technical, or other inadvertent errors.

Website content is provided for general informational and scholarly purposes. Users should independently verify information where accuracy is critical.

JERR does not guarantee that all website information will always be complete, current, error-free, or continuously available.

JERR and Eldaghayes Publisher do not warrant that:

• the website will be free from viruses or other harmful components;

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, JERR and Eldaghayes Publisher shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or other losses arising from or related to the use of, or inability to use, the website or its services.

• third-party services or websites;

• loss or corruption of data resulting from circumstances outside the reasonable control of JERR; or

Nothing in these Terms of Use excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law.

12. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by applicable law, users may be responsible for losses, claims, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses arising from their unlawful use of the website, violation of these Terms of Use, or infringement of the rights of JERR, Eldaghayes Publisher, or third parties.

Nothing in this section requires a user to indemnify a party for liability arising from that party's own unlawful conduct where such an obligation cannot legally be imposed.

JERR reserves the right to restrict, suspend, or terminate a user's access to website services where reasonably necessary, including where a user:

15. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms of Use shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the applicable laws of Libya, without prejudice to any mandatory legal rights or protections that may apply to users under applicable law.

Subject to applicable law, disputes arising from or relating to these Terms of Use shall be submitted to the competent courts of Libya.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms of Use is determined to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, that provision shall be interpreted or modified to the extent necessary to make it enforceable, where legally permissible.

The invalidity or unenforceability of one provision shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions.

17. Entire Agreement

These Terms of Use, together with the JERR policies and terms expressly incorporated by reference, constitute the applicable terms governing use of the JERR website and services.

If there is a conflict between these Terms of Use and a specific JERR policy governing scholarly publishing, editorial procedures, copyright, privacy, peer review, or publication ethics, the more specific policy shall apply to the relevant matter.
